Factory history

JCB moved into the Rocester factory (at that time an abandoned cheese factory) in 1950, at that time employing six people. JCB now employs 8000 people, with 18 factories worldwide- the Rocester factory is the worldwide headquarters as well as the production facility for Backhoe Loaders and Telescopic 'Loadall' handlers.
